The 2022 SEMA Auto Show is now in full swing, and is running until November 4th. The show always provides us with the opportunity to see what various automotive manufacturers have come up with in the concept world, and to unveil any performance parts or upgrades for their products. Nissan of course have revealed a load of accessories for their new Nissan Z sports car. But there are others in attendance at the show too, such as the legendary Ringbrothers.

The Ringbrothers are some of the most highly regarded people in the automotive modding world, and of course it was a company founded by two brothers. They are at this year’s SEMA Auto Show, and they have come out all-guns blazing. They have brought along their Ringbrothers Enyo 1978 Chevrolet Super Truck, a build described as their most extreme so far. It merges the typical vintage farm truck with a modern race car, to produce a 1,000 hp + monster that has levels of performance the original 1948 Chevrolet pickup truck could only ever dream of.

The Most Extreme Ringbrothers Product Yet

The Ringbrothers have described this pickup truck as their most extreme build yet. At the heart of it all is a racing-inspired drivetrain. It is a 510 cubic inch tall-deck engine from the workshop of Todd Goodwin. This produces an incredible 1,000 hp with Kinsler eight-stack injection, a Holley fuel management system as well as a Bowler Performance Corvette torque-tube 4L80 automatic transaxle. The Ringbrothers have worked to ensure that the truck can deliver its massive power to the ground for the maximum levels of grip and performance.

To do this, it has a cantilever-independent suspension at all four of its corners, with Ohlins shocks. The Ringbrothers have certainly gone all out to ensure this truck is beyond anything they have ever done before. The open-wheeled truck also sits on custom Porsche 911 pin-drive wheels, thanks to HRE Wheels. Both track and street wheels are also included with the truck and these also have the installed Nuke performance air jack system to facilitate quick swaps between the two. With 1,000 hp you need a lot of braking power, and this comes thanks to big Brembo GTS M6 brakes with six-piston calipers. These provide all the stopping power you will ever need.

Keeping The Spirit Of The Original 1948 Chevrolet Pickup

Of course, while the truck is extensively modified from its original form, it has to keep the original spirit of the 1948 pickup truck. The steel cab is the original 1948 steel cab from that Chevrolet pickup truck with extensive modifications from Ringbrothers. The cap sits atop a one-off chassis that comes from Scott Ahlman of Ahlman engineering, in conjunction with Roadster Shop. Careful craftsmanship saw the cab itself narrowed and chopped by some four inches, the cab lengthened and also wedge cut. The remaining body pieces are all constructed thanks to 3K-weave carbon fiber.

A single-piece carbon fiber belly pan spans from the front to the back of the 1948 pickup truck, and the modernization of the truck does not stop there. Power windows are a part of the truck, as is a custom stainless-steel gas tank by Rick’s Tanks, a Vintage Air Gen II compact air-conditioning system and a custom interior too. The interior is in collaboration with Upholstery Unlimited and Gemini Technology Systems. The open truck bed features all the components needed to run the truck, and it is easy to open the clamshell hood thanks to the electromagnetic latches.

A Truly Innovative Modification To A Chevrolet Classic

The truck features more innovations, such as the side pipes. These are in fact made from 58 feet of titanium pie-cut welds and are also connected to the shining one-off customer headers. Ringbrothers say that every part of ENYO is all created in order to show off its impeccable design and performance capabilities. It is the perfect blend of the classic farm truck with the modern performance vehicle and certainly one of the most striking machines to come from the workshop of the Ringbrothers. It meshes together two vehicles that really should never have met.

It is quite possible that this pickup truck is the ultimate to ever come from the Ringbrothers workshop. It combines supercar levels of performance and power with the classic design of an old Chevy pickup, in a match that was probably not made in heaven. The team very much believe that it exemplifies what Ringbrothers are capable of, and it’s certainly one of the most outrageous creations that we have seen at the 2022 SEMA Auto Show so far. It took them over 10,000 man-hours to put this incredible machine together, and we can safely say it looks to have been 100% worth the effort involved.
